Itinerary - 11 days

Day 1 Arrive Cochin. On arrival in Cochin, transfer to Willington Island and check into hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Cochin. After breakfast, drive to the historic city of Fort Cochin, the ancient capital of the Dutch, Portuguese and British. Also visit the old Spice Market at Mattancherry, the antique shop on Jews Street, the Synagogue, Dutch Palace and the Church of St. Francis where the mortal remains of Vasco Da Gama were buried before being shifted to Portugal. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 Cochin – Periyar by surface. After breakfast, drive to Periyar. On arrival, check into the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the National Park’s lake and enjoy spotting herds of wild elephant, bison, deer and spectacular bird life. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Periyar. In the morning, set off for game viewing in the National Park. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Thereafter, visit the tea and spice plantations or enjoy a short trek through the forest with an escort. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Periyar – Kumarakom by surface. After breakfast, depart for Kumarakom and transfer to hotel by boat. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, take a sunset cruise in a rice boat. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Kumarakom. After breakfast, enjoy a short boat ride to Philip Kutty's Farm to experience country life. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Kumarakom – Marari by surface. After breakfast, take a boat ride across Lake Vembanad to Puthenangadi. From there, drive to Mararikulam. On arrival, check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure on the beach. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Marari. After breakfast, enjoy the day at leisure on the beach. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Marari. After breakfast, enjoy the day at leisure on the beach. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Marari. After breakfast, enjoy the day at leisure on the beach. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Marari – Cochin/Depart Cochin. After breakfast, spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, drive back to Cochin. On arrival, transfer to airport for onward travel.
